In 1978, Astrid Lindgren, receiving the Peace Prize of the German Booksellers, gave a speech about peace. She emphasized with all conviction that today's children, who will one day decide the fate of the world, are the most sensitive to the influence of those they love. Violence against them results in an increase in conflicts and wars. Children, safe from any violence by adults, in adulthood have a chance to create a world according to the logic of respect and peaceful problem solving.
